From The Principal Mr. Pfannes

Dear Titan Families,

Students have Monday, January 15, off in honor of the Martin Luther King Holiday.  Coretta Scott King writes

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday celebrates the life and legacy of a man who brought hope and healing to America. We commemorate as well the timeless values he taught us through his example — the values of courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, humility and service that so radiantly defined Dr. King’s character and empowered his leadership. On this holiday, we commemorate the universal, unconditional love, forgiveness and nonviolence that empowered his revolutionary spirit.” (

While enjoying this holiday, I hope that we all take a moment to reflect on how we can do our part to bring about Martin Luther King’s dream of a world that triumphs over poverty, racism, war and violence.

With Titan Pride,

Steven Pfannes
